CFE Prep Courses - September 2023

We are pleased to be offering both in-person and online CFE Prep courses this summer. We encourage you to register early so you can access the pre-course resources that are available starting in March to help you start reviewing your technical knowledge and improving your case writing skills.

For CFE Prep Onsite, course location options and dates are as follows (subject to enrolment levels). More information can be found on our FAQ page or course locations page.

Case submission dates for marking are in brackets:

  • Toronto and Edmonton - July 7-9 (July 8, July 9, August 3, and August 14)
  • Vancouver and Halifax - July 11-13 (July 12, July 13, August 3, and August 14)
  • Calgary - July 18-20 (July 19, July 20, August 3, and August 14)

For CFE Prep Online, cases used as part of the CFE Prep course must be written and submitted for marking by the following deadlines:

First-Time Writers - CFE Prep I - July 9, July 31, August 10, and August 21
CFE Prep I is intended for first-time writers taking Capstone 2. The upload dates start before the Capstone 2 module workshop and are spread out over several weeks to help you balance the workload. This option is best suited for candidates who want to get a jump start on their preparations and/or candidates who have less time off leading up to the CFE.

First-Time Writers - CFE Prep II - July 22, July 29, August 10, and August 21
CFE Prep II is intended for first-time writers taking Capstone 2. The upload dates start after the Capstone 2 module workshop and the course is more condensed. This course option is best suited for candidates who are off work during Capstone 2.

Experienced Writers - July 1, July 8, July 22 and July 29

If you will not be able to meet these deadlines, we recommend our CFE Prep - No Marking course.

Early Access – CFE Prep Early Access is intended for first-time or experienced writers who will have little or no time off work before the CFE (2 weeks or less), but not for anyone who has already taken our 2022 CFE Prep course. Course materials are available immediately and writers are able to work through the materials at their own pace. A marking option is available, with all submissions due by June 15, 2023.
